Bite-ology 101

This course emphasizes a laboratory approach to the study of living things. Students demonstrate an understanding of biodiversity, cell theory, biochemistry, comparative anatomy and physiology, heredity, evolution, and ecology.
Bite-ology 201: Anatomy and Physiology
Grade Level: 2nd Year
Prerequisite: Bite-ology 101
In this course students demonstrate an understanding of the structures of the body as a whole and the functioning of its chemical and physical systems. Students interested in health sciences can benefit from the development of the technical skills and language that are a part of this course. Students participate in laboratory exercises and use technical language in preparing laboratory reports.
Terror Lab
Chemistry 101
Grade Level: 1st Year
Prerequisite: None
In this laboratory course students demonstrate increased understanding of the atomic model of matter through the use of algorithmic thinking when solving chemical problems. Laboratory experiences and the careful manipulation of laboratory equipment assist students in the collection of quantitative data for the problem solving process.
Physics 201
Grade Level: 2nd Year
Prerequisite: Chemistry 101
This laboratory-oriented course covers the development of physical laws and how it applies to the science of everyday life. Through laboratory experiences, lectures and discussions, and demonstrations, students explore the mechanics, optics, waves, electricity, atomic structure, and transformations of matter and energy. This laboratory-oriented course requires students to solve problems, often with mathematical operations.
Forensic Science
Grade Level: 3rd Year
Prerequisite: Biology 101 & 201, Chemistry 101 & Physics 201
In this course students deepen their understanding of scientific principles and the very nature of scientific thinking. This course introduces students to the investigative process used by crime scene investigators, forensic pathologists, and medical examiners. Students increase their understanding of biology, chemistry, Earth science and physics in the scientific investigation of crime.

Manufacturing Technology 101
Grade Level: 1st Year
Prerequisite: None
This course is designed to give each student an opportunity to do planning, shop practice, assembling, and finishing projects in metals. Students study of the processes; bench work, foundry, forging, welding, sheet metal operations, and basic machine tool operations.
Mechanics Technology 201
Grade Level: 2nd Year
Prerequisite: Manufacturing Technology 101
Upon successful completion of this course, students have a good understanding of the total robotic form and its various systems with an emphasis on owner maintenance. Students better assess service needs by recognizing signs of wear, noises, and operational characteristics that could indicate a potential problem. Students train and experience the operation of diagnostic equipment.
Mechanics Technology 202
Grade Level: 3rd Year
Prerequisite: Manufacturing Technology 101 & Mechanics Technology 201
This course includes a study of theory and practice in electrical and fuel systems, engines, power trains, suspension systems, repair, and service. Students will also give each student the ability and knowledge to create a fully functional robotic creation.
